I've been running photo booths long enough to know that software loyalty is easy until it isn't. You get comfortable with a platform, you learn its quirks, and switching feels like more trouble than it's worth... until something makes you pay attention.
For me, that something was other photo booth owners. I kept hearing people I respect in this industry bring up Booth.Events. Not even in a promo sense but it just kept coming up naturally in conversations. They talked about their support, the frequent updates, and the way the company actually listens. Eventually I decided I had to try it myself, especially since I've learned the hard way that putting all of your trust in one software is not a good way to run a business.
What stood out right away
The support reputation is real. I went in a little skeptical (because everyone claims great support) but what I noticed was that operators were talking about it without being asked, which means something.
I also paid attention to how frequently they push updates and, more importantly, that those updates are clearly coming from user feedback. That kind of transparency tells you a lot about how a company operates.
The features that actually matter at an event
Two things stood out once I was actually using it:
The Reshoot feature. If a guest blinks or the capture just doesn't land, they can redo that one photo, not the entire session. It sounds small until you're at an event and a guest is frustrated. I always felt so embarrassed with other softwares when I had to tell a client that we had to do all 3 photos over again because they blinked. This feature from Booth.Events fixes that.
The Take More feature. This keeps the guest flow moving in a way that feels natural. If there's no line and the guests want to keep enjoying the booth, they totally can without getting 100 texts to their phone. This makes it a much smoother experience from start to finish. Anything that makes the interaction feel seamless is a win for my clients.
When you're working an event and trying to give your client the best possible experience, these kinds of features make it all worth it.
One more thing
It's less expensive than what I was paying before and it's truly built to reward scaling. I almost didn't want to lead with that because it's not why I switched, but it's worth knowing.
